Common question
How do you get rid of bed bugs properly?
Bed bugs are eliminated room by room, not with a spray can. We confirm the species, map every harbourage in the bed, frame, furniture, skirting and power points, then combine steam, targeted residual and dust with a preparation checklist you complete first. A mandatory follow-up two to three weeks later kills whatever hatches after the first treatment, which is the step that decides whether they come back.
01What you notice
It usually starts with bites you blame on mosquitoes. Then you find the dark specks along the mattress seam, the rust-coloured smear on the sheet, and something the size of an apple seed on the edge of the bed at 2am. Most people then buy a bomb, and that is the moment a one-bedroom problem becomes a whole-house problem.
02Why it keeps coming back
Bed bugs do not nest in the open. They sit in mattress seams, bed slats, screw holes, bedhead cavities, skirting gaps, couch joints and power points, and they scatter through wall cavities and shared walls when a repellent product hits them. Their eggs are protected well enough that any single-visit treatment leaves a second generation behind.
03How we solve it
So we work methodically. Confirm it is bed bugs and not fleas, map every harbourage including the adjoining rooms, send you a preparation list that does half the work before we arrive, then steam the live stages, put residual through the floor edges and furniture joints, and dust the frame voids, power points and cavities. Then we come back, because the eggs are the job.
